Classic racing motorcycles in hard use
The 36th anniversary celebration of the Sound of Singles will take place as part of the Odenwald Klassik from June 14 to 16, 2024. Participants and developers from the very beginning will meet for a chat, prepare their racing motorcycles for the exhibition and/or the special run of the SoS. Interested spectators will once again be offered a full starting field and an exhibition of more than 25 motorcycles in a hangar. Treat yourself to a weekend in a classic racing atmosphere.
Legendary motorcycles such as the PAMI SR, Suzuki BMR and the SoS Cup winning racer of Gerd Clemens / EC-Big can be admired. Another highlight will be the former racing machine of Thomas Körner, SoS Cup winner and Daytona winner, a UNO Rotax-GDM. The bike was brought to Germany from Sweden by its new owner at great expense. The bike is currently being restored. We all very much hope that this legendary piece of SOS history will be completed by the time of the event.
At the center of the paddock: the exhibition of legendary machines from SoS history. More than twenty-five single-cylinder racing machines from all eras fill the exhibition. These include special frames such as EC-Big, UNO, MuZ, Harris, Tigcraft, Frauenschuh and STR-Racing and, of course, rebuilt production motorcycles based on a Yamaha SR500, SZR660 or SRX. There were already many single-cylinder racers to marvel at last year. There will be even more in 2024.
The SOS special run of the Oldenwald Classic gives us stew enthusiasts the opportunity to see machines of the Sound of Singles class in action or even to use them ourselves.
The racing class for motorcycles with single-cylinder engines since 1988.
Well-known developers such as Sam Wassermann and Robert Rieder from UNO, Gerd Clemens (EC-Big), Rupert Baindl (BMR), Gottfried Michels (PAMI), Georg Daiber (GDM), to name but a few, will be there again and have already confirmed their participation to the organizers.
Anyone who wants to start at short notice or is in possession of an original SoS racer is welcome to contact the organizer or the Organizer of the meeting. Entries and information on the regulations can be found on the MotoTrophy website.
