We had to wait a long time and it was worth it!!!
It finally worked out and Lippi was able to organize his wonderful XT meeting in Thuringia for the fourth time.
This time with the active support of Micha from the Orlamünde boathouse.
Micha has provided Lippi and all of us with a wonderful place to camp.
How the weekend goes on XT
Friday is arrival day.
A cheerful "hello" continues from midday until the evening hours. The cozy barbecue flows seamlessly into a campfire chat.
On Saturday morning we enjoy a wonderful and extensive breakfast in the best weather. Perfectly prepared by the boathouse team. Top.
Then we are spoiled for choice.
Lippi has worked out two different routes - an off-road and an on-road route.
Small groups quickly form and the ride begins...

Our route - the off-road version - turned out to be a great mix of forest, meadow and field paths. Complemented by small roads, we were able to enjoy the wonderful landscape. A very nice ride! After arriving at the campsite, we went on an official rubber dinghy tour on the Saale. That was great fun! Definitely a recommendation.
In the evening we had a traditional barbecue. Afterwards, XTom gave us a "slide show" about his trip through Australia. He can tell a story. And he's also experienced a lot. A good combination.
Of course, the petrol talk goes on late into the night. That's how it has to be and that's how it's done.
Unfortunately, the day of the return journey is not as sunny as Saturday, so the heroes who arrived on their own wheels have a wet journey home. It's a familiar situation. No drama.
