Our ride together was particularly exciting because two current T700s happened to meet the 35-year-old XTZ750 Super Ténéré.
Two generations of Yamaha two-cylinder enduro bikes that convey the legend of the Dakar Rally. Pure cult.
Martin had his beautiful XTZ 750 and his camera with him. The best meeting place for this special occasion was of course the Oldtimer service station in Hamburg, a popular place for motorcycle enthusiasts.
The enthusiasm was great and everyone wanted to test each other's bikes. We swapped bikes and were able to experience the different riding sensations.
Our tour took us through the port of Hamburg, and the trip over the Köhlbrand Bridge was an absolute must. From there, we had the best view of the city and the illuminated harbor.
After this impressive ride, we made a short stop to talk shop about old and modern technology, accessories and individual adaptations to our machines. The exchange of experiences and ideas took center stage and made the hearts of technology enthusiasts beat faster.
As we were all hungry and hadn't eaten anything before the ride, our route finally took us to 'Erika's Eck'. The huge portions not only satisfied our hunger, but also allowed us to plan our next tours. It was a successful evening that kicked off a great motorcycle season.
This ride was not only an experience, but also a wonderful opportunity to share and cultivate the community and passion for motorcycles. In the end it was clear: T700? XTZ750? All great. They also work great on asphalt.
