The two are experienced motorcycle travelers and have already ridden several major tours together. This tour is special because the two bikes are so different. Of course, we supported them with parts, but there was still a lot of uncertainty as to whether the bikes would hold up.
It was an immense challenge, especially for the old Ténéré, because it had already covered a lot of kilometers. In the end, only one of the bikes managed to complete the entire route.
You can find out what that was and how many adventures the two of them mastered on the website for this trip.
Tom tackled the trip on a new Yamaha Ténéré World Raid and was on the road with state-of-the-art equipment.
Enrico started the tour on a 1986 Ténéré 600Z - identical in construction to the first Ténéré from 1983 - and set off with original equipment from that time.
