Loosely translated from Italian, 'mezzomille' means 'half a thousand'.
The designer Axel Budde, known in the scene for his spotless Guzzi conversions, doesn't do things by halves.
Together with him we realized our very special SR500 conversion.
Axel prefers minimalist, sleek lines. That's why this project particularly appealed to him. To avoid having to make any compromises, he first designed a new tank/seat combination made of aluminum.
The frame and all add-on parts also had to undergo a slimming treatment, practically everything was lightened or replaced with hand-made special parts - or omitted altogether.
The result is an elegant, almost graceful conversion in the style of the late 1970s.
With a kerb weight of just under 130 kg and around 40 hp, the 'Mezzo' offers pure agility and riding pleasure.
Due to the time-consuming and uncompromising design, this motorcycle will unfortunately have to remain a one-off; the conversion alone took over 300 hours.
