The old designers and drivers back on an airfield course after 35 years
We KEDOs are also SR500 people, so this weekend we set off for the Odenwald to visit a wonderfully organized racing event.
The Odenwald Klassik is the second race of the Moto Trophy 2023 and the last remaining airfield race in Germany. It has been held annually since 2007.

Motorsport on SR500 is oldschool but airfield racing is the mother of oldschool motorsport.
Because the first round of the SOS class was held in the Eifel at an airfield near Dahlem in 1988, the single-cylinder family is celebrating its 35th birthday here in Walldürn this weekend.
Milestones of SOS racing can be admired in an exhibition and on the track. Hand-built machines with Rotax, Yamaha, KTM or Gilera engines in hand-brazed tubular frames or welded Delta boxes. Our Lutz gave our KCR SR500 racer another official hot ride.
What could be better than a big single cylinder in the upper rev range? Being the last to brake the light thing into the chicane.
If you want to see classic racing, you can follow the Moto Trophy 2023 all year round. The Netherlands, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Germany will host races in this series.
When the Odenwald Classic returns next year:
Come along, the atmosphere is great, the Odenwald is worth a visit!
We would like to thank you in advance for the organization of
