We KEDOs packed up and gave the cable a good tug. After Nethen, we took part in something for the eyes and a racer who was used to traffic jams. We really had to shift our gears to make way for the competition. Otherwise our Mopete would have won for sure 😉
The Wheels & Wake is organized with an incredible amount of love and attention to detail. A first-class enrichment of the motorcycle summer.
It's hot, it's bright, it's loud, it's fast. It's old, it's beautiful. It's a moped in a class of its own - a classic - an SR500. SR stands for "Sand Racing".
Beachclub Nethen is the perfect location for the Wheels & Wake Festival
The white sand reflects the light and everything looks very good. Even the HONDAs. A little joke.
In the fifth year of the W&W, it was clear - SR500 is winning material. The number of singles on site was correspondingly striking.
That's why we love YAMAHAS stew: light and lots of torque
Also at the start: bronco and Stallion - our legendary KEDO yard-build custom bikes based on the SR400
Our Bronco in the sun. We are all in love with shock.
Contrasting program in the evening: Octane and racing fever are replaced by reggae music and long drinks. The air was fragrant. Period.
Alex Winkler from Swabia converts potent youngtimers for the Race Tracks.
Whether flat track or beach race - it only gets really fast when it's dusty.
What beauty and what a beguiling fragrance...
The first four places: SR500 XS650 SR500 SR500. In total, there were around a dozen SRs at the start. We would like to see more competition next year. Suzuki GN, Honda FT, MZ, Enfield, Sanglas, BSA . Anything with a single cylinder but no Enduro or MX roots is welcome. Two-cylinder and two-stroke bikes are of course also welcome. Bring something light and off you go Peter... Or Petra.
A lot of KEDO customers stood on the podium in the sun. Among them were Helge from Motorfernsehen and professional racer Thilo.
