The members of the MC Boizenburg have really gone the extra mile:
A 30 km route, which mainly consists of quite challenging single trails and sandy connecting sections, was specially created for this event and carefully "flattened".
This was followed by the special test.
The motocross track, which had been converted to enduro, had to be mastered as quickly as possible.
The whole thing had to be completed three times - if possible!
Great routes, the best riding weather, fantastic machines and lots of classic enduro expertise.
After we (Yogi and Berger) Last year we slipped into this great event with our XTs rather by chance and had to give up after one of three rounds, our goal for this year was clear - at least complete the second round.
2023 we are over Tim and Steve became aware of this event. Unlike us, Tim crossed the finish line on his little "Triumph Tiger Cub" and Steve also mastered the course on his BMW R45 and even took a podium place - RESPECT.
This year, the "pack" of amateur enduro riders had already grown considerably.
Many of us arrived on Friday and thanks to Nadine and John We then had a relaxed barbecue evening.
Martin Hass also traveled here to spoil us once again with his great pictures - thank you Martin!
On Saturday morning things got a bit busier - mopeds and helmets had to go through technical scrutineering and were then taken to the parc fermé.
After the drivers' briefing, it was time for the start. Two starters were sent out onto the track every 30 seconds.
When you see how much damage was done to our small group and how exhausted we all were, you quickly realize how much routine was involved.
A 77-year-old wins his class, and there is hardly anyone among the classic enduro riders who has not completed the three laps - fantastic!
Thorsten manages to ride his BSA onto the podium with a dislocated toe.
Steve takes second place in the "Y5" class on his TT500. A small drop of bitterness: he broke a rib on the way and his license plate was missing, but was later found again as a chain guard.
Nadine had to stop after two laps because her right footrest and the handbrake lever did the same thing on the way.
This makes the DR350 virtually unrideable and, above all, unstoppable.
Nevertheless, she secured second place!
Unfortunately, Yogi gets hit on the first lap and has to get his XT500 roadworthy again.
Bert manages with John The third lap, but unfortunately the timekeepers are already dismantled when they are the last to cross the finish line - respect guys!
Many thanks for this great event to the MC Boizenburg and all helpers!
Many thanks for the great pictures to Martin Hasswho once again showed full commitment!
Here is a note from the MC Boizenburg:
The small singletrail routes were created and approved just for this event.
So please do not drive privately and jeopardize this wonderful event. THANK YOU!
As you can see, there is still room for improvement in the women's category as far as the number of participants is concerned. Take heart girls and join us next year.
